Hello List, I am posting to this list as I don't belong to the development list and have no wish to. I hope that the right person gets this or that someone who knows who to pass this on to would be kind enough to do so.
Arecord broke in rc3. Actually what broke was some of the functionality, specifically the -I switch. For those who don't know, the -I switch will separate a stereo recording into two separate raw data files. VERY VERY useful when dealing with 4 track audio recordings as I do. This is why I am not a happy camper at the moment. Thanks for any assistance that will get this issue resolved.
