I think I need to add a sym link somewhere, although I don't know where.
I saw in one of the archives about some sym links that I added to get
rid of the "Unresolved" problems. Now everything compiles and installs
with no errors. NOW, when I try to "modprobe snd-card-cs4236" , I get
"modprobe: Can't locate module snd-card-cs4236". Any ideas???

Also, (probably related, I don't know) everytime I reboot to see if it
will work from modules.conf; I think the system doesn't see the card as
a cs4236, it see's a cs4232 and then modifies my modules.conf to load
that driver. I'm using RedHat 7.3 with kernel 2.4.18-3. Is it even
compiled for ALSA support? How do I tell? I'm such a newbie that I'm
not even going to try to compile a kernel until I'm more knowledgeable
about what I'm doing.

Please help, I've been banging my head against the wall for four weeks
now trying to get the sound to work, and this is really starting to get
old...

TIA
