Hi: I'm having real problems compiling alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3 under Debian testing with a custom 2.4.18 kernel. I have a Creative 5.1 Live Platinum card.
I have configured with: ../configure --with-cards=emu10k1 --with-isapnp=no but I get a whole load of isapnp related messages ending with: pcm_sgbuf.o(.text+0x18): multiple definition of `isapnp_probe_cards_R7a71de0d' pcm.o(.text+0x18): first defined here pcm_sgbuf.o: In function `isapnp_resource_change_R09b965af': pcm_sgbuf.o(.text+0x1c): multiple definition of `isapnp_resource_change_R09b965af' pcm.o(.text+0x1c): first defined here make[1]: *** [snd-pcm.o] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/alsa-driver-0.9.0rc3/acore' make: *** [compile] Error 1 I'd be grateful for any help. I've tried various newsgroups and lists, this is my last hope. Up to now I have been unable to play any wav files, although I have been able to hear sound from xawtv using the kernel driver module. My main interest, however, is in recording, editing, and playing back wav files (and ultimately transferring to CD)..
