Hi,

I installed the ALSA ice1712 drivers for my Hoontech/StAudio DSP24 MKII
on RH7.3 following the instructions from the ICE1712 WIKI page.
Installation/configuration went flawlessly, but the drivers are not
functioning properly. These are the issues/questions I have:

1. when playing a .wav using the XMMS player or aplay I hear only
popping sounds. There is activity in all the PCM Outs of the
envy24control mixer.

2. in alsamixer, I get the following information:
- Card: Hoontech SoundTrack Audio DSP24
- Chip: SigmaTel STAC9721/23 (should the info here be for the ICE1712
chip???)
- Item: Master

3. when playing a CD I get no sound although there is activity in
envy24control for S/PDIF In L&R. -- plugging headphones/speakers
directly into the CD headphone jack will give me sound, just not through
the soundcard...

Any general help would be appreciated, but of course it would be
especially helpful to hear from other DSP24 owners who have direct
experience with this. This is the only place I can get feedback for this
as the staudio mailing list only deals with windows issues! :(

I have the card functioning properly in win xp...

Jon
