I don't see options for the snd-ens1371 module in 
alsa-driver-0.9.0rc2/INSTALL. And snd_enable_midi isn't in the 'Global 
parameters for top soundcard modules'. snd_enable_midi=1 results in the 
error you are getting: snd-ens1371.o: invalid parameter parm_snd_enable_midi.

Well, your card isn't ISA PnP but PCI :)
