Maybe you shoud try this box with other distro or
using the custom built kernel other than slack? I did
not have problem in one of my boxes the compaq
preserio one, with snd-ens1371 was running mandrake
8.1 ; and now still fine with debian, (not test
slackware), if you success so we can figure out what
is wrong with slackware..
