Hi all,

I just went through the mailing-list archive but I didn't find
what I am looking for...

So, here is my problem, I would like to use the second channel
of my SoundBlaster PCI128 (Ensoniq 1370).

I have Alsa-0.9 in a relatively recent version (I can update
if necessary). I am running OSS emulation over this Alsa thing.

So here comes the technical stuff:

[fleury@yggdrasil fleury]$ lsmod
Module Size Used by Not tainted
snd-pcm-oss 37344 0
snd-seq-midi 3424 0 (autoclean) (unused)
snd-seq-oss 29088 0 (unused)
snd-seq-midi-event 4184 0 [snd-seq-midi snd-seq-oss]
snd-seq 46796 2 [snd-seq-midi snd-seq-oss
snd-seq-midi-event]
snd-mixer-oss 9664 1 [snd-pcm-oss]
snd-ens1370 10656 2
snd-pcm 55776 1 [snd-pcm-oss snd-ens1370]
snd-timer 12352 0 [snd-seq snd-pcm]
snd-ak4531-codec 5968 0 [snd-ens1370]
snd-rawmidi 14592 0 [snd-seq-midi snd-ens1370]
snd-seq-device 4228 0 [snd-seq-midi snd-seq-oss snd-seq
snd-rawmidi]
snd 30888 3 [snd-pcm-oss snd-seq-midi snd-seq-oss
snd-seq-midi-event snd-seq snd-mixer-oss snd-ens1370 snd-pcm snd-timer
snd-ak4531-codec snd-rawmidi snd-seq-device]
soundcore 5220 8 [snd]

[fleury@yggdrasil fleury]$ ll /dev/snd/

crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 116, 33 Jun 27 22:52 timer

[fleury@yggdrasil fleury]$ ll /dev/dsp*
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root            9 Nov  5  2001 /dev/dsp ->
/dev/dsp0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root audio 14, 3 Nov 5 2001 /dev/dsp0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root audio 14, 19 Nov 5 2001 /dev/dsp1
crw-rw-rw- 1 root audio 14, 35 Nov 5 2001 /dev/dsp2
crw-rw-rw- 1 root audio 14, 51 Nov 5 2001 /dev/dsp3

So, /dev/dsp(0) and /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p are working fine.

But, I have no clue how to use /dev/snd/pcmC0D1p. :-/

If somebody can help me to get out, I would appreciate ! :-)

Thanks
