Hi, I've been having alot of trouble finding MIDI software for Linux that meets my needs. I'm not sure about all of the terminology. I've tried at least half a dozen packages including Jazz++, Melys, Brahms, Anthem, and more. I either have trouble getting these packages to compile (their respective authors do not respond), have trouble with the RPM versions (if available), or I find that the package doesn't do what I want anyway.
All I want is to do the following: 1. Be able to type keys on my MIDI piano and have the keystrokes show up on the screen. 2. To be able to capture MIDI events and save them to a MIDI file. 3. To be able to play back MIDI events using my Piano as the playback device. I have a PCI Soundblaster 16 which I understand doesn't have an onboard MIDI voices (software MIDI->WAV conversion such as TiMiDity is needed). Any suggestions that any of you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Erik. _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
