After so many weeks of trying to get em8300 working in Linux, with the help of
members from this list I have finally succeded.
I have a concern similar to this post. Although em8300 works real good and I'm
able to watch DVD in color, when I tried using the DVD player that came with
in Win 2K I was only getting a black and white picture. Thinking that it
might be the driver, I uninstalled and re-installed it, but I got the same
result, black and white picture.
So my question is I guess similar to this post. Does the microcode do anything
to the card itself that resulted in B&W picture in Windows2K.
