Most of the documentation refers to rcalsasound 'start|stop' etc.. but my distribute of 7.3 does not seem to have provided such, perhaps it was included with the original release of the alsa package with my 7.3 SuSE distribution, but no longer there since I removed the included rpm to make way for the 0.9.0rc1... and previous betas. Since I can't use rcalsasound start & stop to make my soundserver.. um.. go, what can I do to replace, or are there alternative programs that performs the same features? David
