I have a Alpha 164SX with a soundblaster live! module.conf:
alias char-major-116 snd # options snd snd_cards_limit=1 snd_major=116 snd_device_mode=664 snd_device_gid=17 snd_device_uid=0 alias snd-card-0 snd-emu10k1 # options snd-emu10k1 snd_id=sb_live! snd_index=0 snd_seq_ports=4 snd_max_synth_voices=64 alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0 alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss alias sound-service-0-11 snd-mixer-oss alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss post-install snd-emu10k1 /usr/bin/sfxload -M --path=/usr/local/share/sounds/soundfont test.bnk booting kernel 2.2.21pre3 I get: Starting sound driver: snd-emu10k1 /lib/modules/2.2.21pre3/misc/snd.o: unresolved symbol vsnprintf /lib/modules/2.2.21pre3/misc/snd.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.21pre3/misc/snd.o failed /lib/modules/2.2.21pre3/misc/snd.o: insmod snd-emu10k1 failed booting kernel 2.4.18 I get: Starting sound driver: snd-emu10k1 /lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/sound/pci/emu10k1/snd-emu10k1.o: post-install snd-emu10k1 failed because of problems alocating memory for (large) soundfonts. When I load a small (< 2 mb)soundfont with sfxload it works, untill I try to change something with sfxload. When I load a large (> 2 mb)soundfont with sfxload only the first 2 mb gets loaded I think the memory alocation of alsa 0.9 with a emu10k1 is not fully compatible with kernel 2.4.* (on Alpha?) 2.2 had no problems with alocating memory on the old 0.9.0beta versions. Who can help to fix it Met Vriendelijke Zwerversgroeten Wouter Rademaker \ / \ / >O< >O< *{_} {_}* ------------------------------------------ This message was sent by Scoutnet Webmail. http://www.scoutnet.nl _______________________________________________________________ Have big pipes?
