I think I have an opportunity to get documentation for the Philips 5.1 Acoustic Edge soundcard. I need to know what kind of stuff I am looking for (or need to ask for) so that a driver can be written.
Specifically, I contacted Philips and they put my in contact with a company that is local. That company got back to me (in hours) and told me that they had some documentation (what I had already found, which had been rejected before as not having enough information by Alsa developers) and wanted me to look at it. I sent off an email requesting more detailed information and that I could be more specific if needed. I am relying on Alsa developers out there to supply me with that information.
