Adding that line described below, 'options snd snd_major=116
snd_cards_limit=1' fixed it, and after one other fix I point out below,
alsa9.0beta12 runs on Mandrake 8.2! I'd like to thank Frans Ketelaars and
Kjetil Tjensvold for excellent help!

NOTE! ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Changed this to snd-card-0

The install of ML 8.2 Final didn't put any kind of sound or alsa lines in
/etc/modules.conf. I copied them in from a backup of ML 8.2beta3
/etc/modules.conf and then alsa 5.12a ran.

I have an EPOX 8kHA+ with KT266A / via8233 based mainboard.
