Hi ho, got another question about my Audiophile 2496, in particular, the envy24control program from alsa-tools.
There is a difference in output volume levels between selecting "PCM Out" and "Digital Mix" in the patchbay/router, i.e. "PCM Out" is noticeably softer than "Digital Mix". Oh also, the difference is the analogous between "HW In" and "Digital Mix", i.e. "HW In is noticeably software than "Digital Mix". When selecting "Digital Mix" to monitor the input to the card, the signal seems to get distorted or clipped along the way. In summary, the output from the monitor mixer seems to be too hot, and can lead to clipping/distortion. Has anybody else noticed this? Is this a bug with envy24control?
