I have just installed Mandrake Linux 8.2 on a Gateway computer which has Gateway's OEM version of the SoundBlaster Live Value card. I get analog sound from the main output, but I have Boston Acoustic Digital speakers. I have verified the analog output with an old pair of analog speakers, but I really wish to be able to use my digitals.
I think the version of alsa is 0.5.10. Is there some option that I can set to switch the main output to digital as it is in Windows? Thank you for your help.
