This last one should at least work, if you setup your devices similar to
the setup described in my Sequencer-Softsynth-Howto at 
http://www.boosthardware.com/LAU/quicktoots/

vkeybd would be the sequencer, timidity the softsynth. My examples use
other applications, though.
