you need to install ALSA 0.9.0 drivers together with alsa-lib and alsa-utils 0.9.0. unfortunately there is no compatibility with 0.5.x and 0.9.0, thus you need to replace completely all alsa stuffs. that is, you need to install alsa-drivers 0.9.0 together with alsa-lib and alsa-utils 0.9.0.
