I have got my Sound Blaster Live! card correctly installed and running with ALSA, and everything works fine, all applications play sound correctly, until I reboot Linux at which point not all applications play sound correctly. Most do, but some applications (I think they all use /dev/raw) just play a dreadful repetetive noise, and do not play the sound correctly at all. These applications do however play correctly before restart, but not after (Tux Kart, XGalaga and Zarch are 3 examples). I'm running SuSE 7.3 on an Athlon 1GHz. Any ideas why this happens?
