Hi.
I'm having weird problems with the ALSA drivers. I'm Running linux-2.5.5 with
beta11 drivers for an ISA SB AWE32 (isapnp support).

First, I only got repeating noise (random clicks and stuff) which implied an
IRQ problem as well as the more obvious erronous data problem..
Then, after doing non-alsa-related things for a while(*), it suddenly went
silent. I played around with amixer and *cheer* the sound worked.. Then I
unloaded the modules and tried to modprobe them again, which resulted in the
"silent mode" again. No matter what I do with amixer, there's no sound at
all...
((*) I unplugged my USB mouse and plugged in an old serial mouse as I had to
send it away for replacement as it's got cable-problems.)

Now, after reading a bit on the archives of this list, I saw something about
USB interfering with ALSA, so I unloaded the USB modules, and now I get white
noise instead of silence...

Any ideas? (This is the first time I've tried my hand on ALSA, so don't assume
I know anything about alsa.. I do have reasonable experience with linux in
general though...)

Following is some info on my setup. If you need to know more, don't hesitate
to post... :)

Thank you in advance,
        Christer Kaivo-oja
