I compiled ALSA 0.9+0beta10-5 (debian package) with Linux 2.4.18-pre9,
however when I try to load any alsa modules, I get:

depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.18-pre9/alsa/snd-rawmidi.o

depmod -e /lib/modules/2.4.18-pre9/alsa/snd-rawmidi.o gives:

I must admit I have never tried ALSA before, so perhaps I should have
opted for the stable version to begin with, but can anyone offer any
suggestions for diagnosing / fixing this problem? Any help would be
most appreciated. Please CC any correspondence.

Thanks,
Ryan
