To beg for a brief explaination. There is one piece of this that is just not computing for me. That is the definition of the trasfer table, specifically this bit:
ttable { # Transfer table (bidimensional compound of # cchannels * schannels numbers) CCHANNEL { SCHANNEL REAL # route value (0.0 ... 1.0) } } Is there someone who could expound this a big, .. specifically what is meant by cchannel vs schannel and what is meant by 'bidimensional compound'...is that a multiplication symbol? i am attempting to understand how to address the individual inputs on the ice1712/Delta66 card. cliffw > > Because ICE1712 chip offers 10-channel playback for professional PCM > device, you need to specify the channel conversion policy for alsa-lib to > convert standard stereo stream for hardware format. > > Plugins are described here (or in alsa-lib/doc/asoundrc.txt): > > http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/alsa-lib/pcm_plugins.html#pcm_plugins > > Look for 'Automatic conversion plugin' and 'route_policy' keyword. > > More information about configuration files can be found at > http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/alsa-lib/ page. > > Jaroslav > > ----- > Jaroslav Kysela <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > SuSE Linux http://www.suse.com > ALSA Project http://www.alsa-project.org > > > _______________________________________________ > Alsa-user mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
