Hi,

I got an old 486 machine and I can not know which card
is, by chance I used the sb driver in the oss-free
(Linux kernel) and it works so I think it might be one
of sound blaster . Now I tried alsa many times
without success, first I compile --with-cards=sb8 ;
then sb16 then sbawe ; but when I ran modprobe
snd-card-sb8 or snd-card-sb16 or snd-card-sbawe it
always says something like Init modules failed, no
such device. I did not supply any parameters for
modprobe. Do I need it? How can I make it work with
alsa as I need full duplex to run speakfreely, like
now it is frustrating to use a kind-of walky-talky
with speakfreely :-)

The alsa I used is the latest stable version (0.5.10);
kernel 2.4.13 ;

Thanks a lot in advance
