I have a few questions about ALSA drivers, i.e. modules: how I can avoid the kernel version checking while 'insmod snd-card-xxx' and is it possible in general ? Imagine I have 2.4.18-pre1 kernel, but I'd like to upgrade to new versions as soon as they are available. So I need to recompile alsa driver modules every couple of weeks (for -pre2, pre3 and so on) ? Are the alsa driver modules so kernel sensitive ?
