Hi all, I've a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600,Slackware 8.0,kernel 2.4.5. "lspci" see the soundcard like an Intel (also if Toshiba says that is a yamaha). I've installed all packages: alsa-driver-0.5.12a.tar,alsa-lib-0.5.10b.tar,alsa-utils-0.5.10.tar All ok but..Since early I'd a problem with module's loading, but when I found the script "alsasound" all load well (when command start he say: -Starting sound driver: snd-card-intel8x0 done -alsactl: Error in configuration file '/etc/asound.conf' (line 1): parse error , but all load well. p.s. asound.conf was been created by me and is empty...):

So..I can't know if soundcard goes.. Another problem is...that compilations don't create the /etc/asound.conf with soundcards specific: -alsactl: No soundcards found... Whot would be the problems? Please help me, I don't know how do.
