Hello, first of all, a happy new year to all the members
of the list !

This is my first message in the list. I browsed the
archives before asking my question, but could not find
anything relevant. Maybe I didn't search well enough. ;-)
By the way the archives don't seem to work well on
Geocrawler... I hardly can beleive there has not been
any message this month...

In any case, please be indulgent !

Here is my problem: I've got 2 PCs, each of which run
a Debian version of Linux. One with kernel 2.4.16 and
a SoundBlaster PCI-128 (es1371) board, and the other
one with kernel 2.4.17 and a YMF-744 (ymfpci) board.

Everything was OK until a few weeks ago, I don't
know exactly when the problems began (was it following
a kernel change ?), but now I'me hearing clicks at
the end of each audio sample, which was not the case
previously, except in some rare cases after several
suspend/resume actions (and even in that case, a
simple reboot used to solve the problem).

Now it's systematic... I'm running Alsa 0.5.12a. As the
problem exist on both machines, I guess this is not
board dependant... Is there some option to put in the
modules.conf or a known cause or solution ?

Thanks a lot in advance for any pointer/info !

Bruno
