Hi I've got a newly bought Soundblaster 4.1 Digital. From the manual:
Connections: + Micro + Line-In + Front Line-Out / Digital out (SPDIF) + Rear Line-out + MIDI/Joystick-Port 'lspci -vvv' gives: 00:0f.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq 5880 AudioPCI (rev 02) Subsystem: Ensoniq: Unknown device 8001 Control: I/O+ Mem- BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR+ FastB2B- Status: Cap+ 66Mhz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=slow >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- Latency: 64 (3000ns min, 32000ns max) Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 11 Region 0: I/O ports at d400 [size=64] Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 1 Flags: PMEClk- DSI+ D1- D2+ AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2-,D3hot-,D3cold-) Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- Now I've got 2 questions: 1. How to enable the SPDIF at the front line-out. 2. Is it possible to get the sound signals both via front line-out (SPDIF) and rear line-out (analog)? thanks -- sven _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
