Hints regarding the following question are highly
welcome!
I have a motu micro express midi interface
connected to the parallel port. Trying to load the appropriate alsa module
for this device (mtpav) fails. The installation program (SuSE YaST2) says that
this can be caused by incorrect module parameters (e.g. IO and
IRQ).
As I am very new to linux I have very few ideas as
to
- how to find out the correct IO and IRQ
setting
- which other parameters could be the reason for
the loading procedure to fail
- where (modules.conf?) to specify these parameters
(once determined) using what syntax
I would be very glad if anyone could give me a
direct hint or a useful url.
