Some time ago I made a page for configuring the opl3sa2 under ALSA 4.1 which 
is found at http://www.sr.bham.ac.uk/~sjt/opl3sa2.html
WARNING -- some of this is very out of date, in particular the card index 
should now be 0 not 1 (I don't currently have this card in any machine, so I 
don't know if current versions of the ALSA or kernel isapnp work properly 
now). I ought to update it but finding time to do it properly is the problem, 
but it might still be a pointer.
