I would just like to find out what this error could possibly mean and how to resolve it:
demsg reports: PCI: Found IRQ 10 for device 00:0f.0 snd: fm801: AC'97 interface is busy (1) /var/log/messages reports: Dec 3 16:07:40 localhost kernel: PCI: Found IRQ 10 for device 00:0f.0 Dec 3 16:07:40 localhost kernel: snd: fm801: AC'97 interface is busy (1) Dec 3 16:07:40 localhost last message repeated 2 times Dec 3 16:07:40 localhost kernel: snd: The AC'97 access is not valid, removing mixer. If I manually load the snd-ac97-codec and then try modprobe snd-card-fm801 I still get the error. I am running Red Hat 7.1 with the distro. kernel 2.4.2-2 and a Super Sound Origins PCI Diamond DT-0398. I've tried practically everything and the module will not load. Help!!!!!
