running root and running user gives me _no_ difference (except the ouput is in English with root). I would like to correct the error message from above, that xine gives. In English (not translated by me) it reads: ALSA lib pcm_hw.c:598:(snd_pcm_hw_open) SNDRV_PCM_IOCTL_PVERSION failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device alsa-0.9beta9 emu10k1 linux-2.4.16 ... (ask for more) -- Pohl's law: Nothing is so good that somebody, somewhere, will not hate it. _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
