Hi, I tried to install the alsa drivers but ran into numerous problems. The main problem, and I have the feeling that when this is solved, it will make a big difference, is a strange link created by snddevices.
It creates a link in /dev/snd -> /proc/asound/dev When I load the alsa drivers, I get a lot of error messages saying that certain snd/mixer etc. files can not be created. Whenever the also driver is (more or less) loaded, the proc file system shows the followig: /proc/asound/ with the file entries: cards devices oss-devices pcm seq/ sndstat timers version So the link in dev points to a non-existing directory.
