Sorry about that, didn't want to seem ungrateful, I was just wondering when exactly it was fixed, like some time after the beta, or just right as the e-mail was written. I really was just trying to ask if the fix would have been in the snapshot I tried. Well I took the extra effort to actually do a CVS checkout. Compiled that up, and it works! :) (Well at least as far as I can tell. The machine with the EWS88MT is about a mile away, but aplay -v looks like it is doing something.) This will be the first time I'll get to use this sound card in about a year since I Windows deceided it didn't like my video card anymore. Thanks everyone in the ALSA Project, especially Takashi Iwai and Jaroslav for their most recent help. I'll probally just run with this CVS checkout until the next beta and each release after that.
