Hi all, Sorry about the blank message, I thought it was a subscription e-mail, not a post!
I'm trying to get the ALSA stuff configured for my sound card. I lost sound card support when I updated my kernel the first time. I'm using an Intel Motherboard with an Intel 810 family soundcard onboard. I'm having trouble configuring the modules. Everything builds ok with the ALSA, but nothing works with modprobe. My modules.conf has the following in it: alias sound-slot-0 i810_audio post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L >/dev/null 2>&1 || : pre-remove sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -S >/dev/null 2>&1 || : That's what used to be in the modules.conf from the original install. None of the modprobe commands "modprobe snd-card-blah" work. Of course, I'm assuming that that's because my modules.conf is messed up. Sndconfig detects my card, so I know that the plugnplay stuff works. Any suggestions? %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Joe Sislow Cosmodog, Ltd. _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
