Hi to all

I'm not a gamer but for some reasons I need to use a simple analog
connect to my Terratec DMX (Ess Maestro 2e).

Environment:

SuSE Linux 7.2, kernel 2.4.4

Soundcard and sound applications (mixer etc.) are working ok using the
ALSA sound drivers as distributed by SuSE.

When trying to modprobe the joystick modules, I got the following
messages:

-->>
/lib/modules/2.4.4-4GB/kernel/drivers/char/joystick/ns558.o:
init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.4.4-4GB/kernel/drivers/char/joystick/ns558.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.4-4GB/kernel/drivers/char/joystick/ns558.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.4-4GB/kernel/drivers/char/joystick/ns558.o: insmod
ns558 failed
<<--

What's going wrong there ?
Where can I find some documentation to solve this ?

Thank you

Uli Steffens
