Hi folks! I read about this CS4281 sound problem in the archives of this list. I don't know if this issue is already solved, but for it is not. I have this CS4281 Chip on a Gericom Phantom and under ALSA it is producing nothing but the finest silence I ever heard! Roel wrote in his e-mail that he thought it might be a problem of IRQ sharing. I don't think so, CS4281 works fine with the kernel driver (kernel 2.4.4 on a SuSE 7.2) together with all the other stuff (Intel eepro100, Lucent LT WinModem, ...). So can someone tell me if this problem still exists or if there is a solution yet? We are discussing this problem already in the SuSE Laptop Mailing list (german!) and still have no real solution for it.
