Ok here is a counter example for your solution

for n= 5 ,k=2
1 2 3 9 10
n-k=>3 so moving first 3 elements ans = 1+2+3 =6

but the answer should be 3
by placing center of 2 groups be 2,9 and moving 1 ,3 to 2 and 10 to 9
