It would be nice to have a list of concise rules for quick reference, maybe with pointers into the main text, so that I can double-check a submission before sending it out. > Lines are wrapped to 80 characters. I often see things wrapped to 72 characters in an email context. I think it helps by allowing the text to remain at under 80 characters when someone quotes the email, up to 4 levels of quoting. After 80 characters, plain-text emails seem to get wrapped; I'm guessing that's part of the standard. > Also, marking your proposal text with "text:" is STRONGLY DISCOURAGED. If "Text:" is on a line by itself, does it still cause trouble? I personally prefer to include it, so that there's no question that that is the "text" (as defined by R2350) of my proposal. But I can stop doing that if it causes serious trouble; I realize it's generally clear enough without that word. -- - Falsifian
