FWIW, I saw this scam ages ago, decided it was too risky to try to use (partly due to the risk of accidentally deregistering myself, but mostly because AFAICT the Shinies would be stuck in the Organization under the ruleset at the time), and gave everyone a Welcome Package to limit the potential gains from it if someone else tried it. -- ais523
