Meh, I think Markdown is fine - in fact, preferable, as it combines pretty formatting with the ability to be copied+pasted as a plaintext report. (Of course, it's possible to write Markdown that looks horrible rendered as plain text, by messing up the spacing or whatnot, but the recordkeepor can fix that up…)
