Precedent says that this statement is interpreted as the criterion
itself ("this promise can be cashed if and only if the player must
transfer it to the Tree") rather than a description of the criterion
("as a condition for cashing this promise, the player must transfer it
to the Tree"), regardless of whether or not this interpretation
results in a sensible condition. Thus, it appears that your promise
CANNOT be cashed.
