Relatively large weekly (or sometimes even daily!) salary for everyone that you have to be active that week/day to claim, that can be spent to perform a variety of actions, typically with some anti-hoarding measure. Also, several permanent statistics that can be improved over time, perhaps by spending the salary currency, and interacted with by other players in various ways.
