I suggest using the existing ID number system instead of inventing your own.

You can just say that the Team Balancer ceases to exist.

Six? The Team Balancers are going to win every time. :)

Overall, it seems it would be a lot easier to just award the ergs
directly rather than creating new players and giving them ergs.
