The fact is, if the dealing is done by deputization, the platonism has
to show up because the deputy CAN only if the officer SHALL.  Further, if
this were turned into a contract, it would be dangerous (to say the least)
for an officer to risk being punished by every single player who deals a
card on behalf of the officer; so I think any contract (for safety of the
officer) would read "If the rules state the Officer SHALL deal a card, 
then the player CAN act on behalf of the Officer to deal the card."  I
was planning to mitigate the platonism by requiring the Officer emself to
confirm whether or not a deal worked ASAP, and even pragmatically merging
the gamestate if unsure.  -G.
