Seems to me that the type of ascension defined by that contract is quite a bit harder than the normal NetHack sort-- I don't play NetHack, but ascension would apparently take four years, unless all of the Artifacts were transferred to the same person from the LFD without objection (which would still require a Power=1 scam, probably, to make someone the only MWoP).
