It was mostly to save workload on Murphy, who seems to have been doing more than eir fair share recently (which I applaud em for). Also, I would have ended up voting for root either way round, as I nearly always vote in officer elections by endorsing the officer rather than with a direct vote (except if I vote for myself); that way if they don't want to do the job, my vote doesn't end up going for them. -- ais523
