Hmm. I think the current situation is too heavily balanced against partnerships, but it wouldn't take much change for me to be happy. The obvious solution is to have class not determine precedence, but what if either first-class persons or partnerships were preferred both in promotions and demotions? > (2) You could have knocked someone else down a caste to preserve Bayes from > being demoted.
