Note the wording of the pledge: the deadline for the crop transfers is August 30 (and was met), but the deadline for the note spends is ASAP after the crop transfers. ais523 thus has the option to cut a lucrative deal with the PNP in return for delaying at least one of eir note spends until after the start of the month.
