While I don't think the proposal is a good idea [*], inquiry cases are perfectly serviceable for that. Heck, you can even inquire about whether GUILTY would be appropriate in some hypothetical or not-so-hypothetical situation. [*] I would like to preserve the right to avoid postponing criminal proceedings in those cases where one thinks it is likely one will be prosecuted anyways for a legitimate (non-test-case) wrong. -woggle
