I reject the idea that they were invalid and I'll call a CFJ on it if
necessary. I planned my actions according to the text of the rules to
allow for the correct number of days.
Denied, as I still think they were. But to prevent self-ratification
from muddying the issue, here's a CFJ.
CFJ: On or about 10 Sep 2025, juan harvested one or more shallots.
Caller's arguments:
Harvesting a crop requires that it was planted "at least <Growth
Duration> days ago". juan planted shallots (Growth Duration = 9) on
1 Sep and attempted to harvest them on 10 Sep, but slightly less
than (9 * 24) hours later. So if "<number> days ago" is measured
based on time of day, then the harvesting failed (and thus the
other actions failed due to insufficient Pyrite); if it's only
measured based on day number, then they all succeeded.
The rules specify that relative durations are not defined the same
way as absolute durations, and also that "within a month of each
other" in particular depends on time of day. Relative durations
measured in days or larger units have long been interpreted as
depending on time of day, though in light of this situation, I
recommend legislative clarification.
