(This is almost word for word from multiple places in the article) ---------- This is about correcting a malformed science by restoring a culturally accidental omission of a normal empirical science activity. (This is also throughout the article) --------- Speed was not the reason for the chip proposal, although the chip will be at least as fast as natural tissue. (Not in the article. It could be, but is not germane) -------- ... The motivation for ii) is the normalization of a uniquely malformed science that at least 2 entire research communities don't realise is broken and has been broken for 65 years. A broken science that nobody chose. A broken science that has been generationally trained into everyone so spectacularly well that it apparently takes a massive computational study/PhD, 20,000 words, 45 pages, and 10-15 years of effort to fail to communicate to the affected communities. 😋 Happy to continue fielding these questions. We're both learning from it, I hope! Can't help harking back to this, angrier time in the journey ...
